Ashton Gate Phase II

CDM Principal Designer Ashton Gate Bristol

We are provided advice on all aspects of CDM Advisor and Principal Designer services to support the planning submission for the new Ashton Gate Sports & Convention Centre development in Bristol.

Plans for the £100m masterplan drawn up by KKA Architects include a new Sports Venue & Convention Centre which will serve as the new home for the Bristol Flyers Basketball Team.

With the world-renowned Clifton Suspension Bridge as its backdrop, the Ashton Gate Sporting Quarter is a landmark development comprising a 230-key 4-star hotel, 200 build-to-rent flats, 30,000 square-feet of office space, a 600-space MSCP, and new public realm.

The centrepiece of the masterplan is a 4,000 square-metre Sports and Convention Centre (SCC), the new home of the Bristol Flyers Basketball Team.

While equipped for professional basketball, the venue is also designed for flexibility, offering state-of-the-art entertainment, conferences, and events. The SCC’s facilities will link to Ashton Gate Stadium’s, creating the largest complex of its type in the southwest.

The masterplan also includes the creation of hundreds of new homes on nearby land at Longmoor with good transport access to the Metrobus M2 route and terminus. The Longmoor site is just 500m to the south west of Ashton Gate.

The proposals for Longmoor will provide approximately 500 much-needed residential homes, consisting of 2, 3 and 4-bedroom units in a high-quality urban village environment.

The tallest buildings will be five storeys and whilst the layout is not fixed at outline stages, broad locations for the tallest buildings will ensure that height is located away from Ashton Vale
