The Blockhouse, Brighton
We provided advice on all aspects of Party Wall & Neighbourly matters for the construction of The Blockhouse at Pelham Street in Brighton for Osborne Developments.
The new six-storey buildings were built on the site of a Victorian school building which was once part of Brighton Met College.
The building was completed at the end of last year and the first residents moved in from January 2024.
Osborne Developments acquired the site in 2019 and subsequently secured Build to Rent planning consent in 2021.
Forward funded by PGIM Real Estate, the project in Brighton city centre was built by Osborne Construction.
Blockhouse Brighton - Design
Designed by HNW Architects, The Blockhouse includes two buildings comprising 135 new homes in a mix of studio, one, two and Amenities include a lounge, gym and rooftop terrace with integrated BBQ.
Residents also benefit from an on-site reception, electric vehicle charging, and both bike and parcel storage.
Touchstone have been appointed as the managing agent for the scheme.
The Blockhouse is ideally located in the heart of Brighton city centre, within a five-minute walk from both the train station and North Laine.
