White Lion Street

Party Wall White Lion

We provided Party Wall advice for this development in White Lion Street to provide 36,000 sqft of new office space close to Angel underground.

The site, located at 65-70 White Lion Street, a three-minute walk from both the popular Upper Street and Angel underground station. The cleared freehold development site spans 0.29 acres and has planning permission for a high quality new development arranged over six floors.

Previously this site had been used as a car tyre depot for some 60 years. The redevelopment involved the demolition of the industrial units and the construction of 36,000sqft of office space behind a façade that compliments the surrounding properties.

The front elevation is of dark brick and large glazed elements of curtain walling with bronze feature panels. The rear elevations have terraces with feature screening preventing overlooking of neighbouring properties. A mixture of rendered panels and zinc cladding frame the large windows which are openable to allow tenants the option of natural ventilation.

The new development will achieve a BREEAM rating of “Excellent” and will include high levels of natural daylight throughout with glazed frontages and internal light wells, with average floor to ceiling heights of three metres. There will be expansive roof terraces, two passenger lifts and 64 bicycle spaces, plus shower facilities at basement level.
