An internal flood led to significant internal damage over 4 floors. Our Building Consultancy team were appointed by the landlord to remediate the damage as soon as possible and limit business disruption to occupiers.
The works were complicated by the need to decant tenants to allow the works to be undertaken and Covid-19 lockdown occurring whilst works were on site.
Services : We were appointed to act for the loss adjuster and landlord and negotiated a fixed price for the works with a client approved contractor.
The works comprised strip out and replacement of partitions and finishes, testing and repairs to mechanical and electrical services.
Within 3 weeks of the incident, the scope of works and costs had been agreed with the loss adjuster and the contractor had started on site.
The works were prioritised to accommodate occupiers requirements. Completion took place within 6 weeks including interruption by Covid 19.
