CONSTRUCTION (DESIGN AND MANAGEMENT) REGULATIONS (CDM) – 2015 – PRINCIPAL DESIGNER
A significant number of health and safety issues are a result of poor planning and management.
The CDM Regulations were introduced to provide a process to manage health and safety in the development of Real Estate, for both new build and refurbishment schemes.
Anstey Horne is competent in fulfilling the role of principal designer as a statutory role or CDM advisor in a contractual role, in order to give our clients confidence that their legal obligations are met.

As each project enters the construction phase, we comment and report on the adequacy of the construction phase plan, assist in the notification to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and undertake site visits to check that arrangements identified in the construction phase plan are adhered to.
Working collaboratively with both client, designers and contractors, we support all parties throughout the design stages from the evaluation of temporary works through to the permanent construction.
From start to finish, we advise on, monitor and manage CDM compliance to ensure, so far as reasonably practicable, that each project is delivered smoothly and safely, providing the relevant documentation on completion.
