Wembley Link, Brent HA9

Daylight Sunlight Wembley LInk

We provided advice on all aspect of Daylight and sunlight for HUB and Bridges Fund Management development at Wembley Link.

The existing site is an overgrown and ill-maintained area of railway embankment, currently owned by Network Rail.

The site is set to be revitalised into much needed homes for private rent in the London Borough of Brent. The proposal are for land on the Eastern Fringe of Wembley High Road, situated behind HUB's Chesterfield House scheme.

Development of the sites will be carried out over two phases, delivering up to 500 homes, continuing HUB’s involvement in the revitalisation of Wembley High Road.

Daylight & Sunlight Wembley Link

Glenn Howells Architects have drawn up plans for the first phase of the development, which will deliver 256 homes across two buildings. The new 17- and 19-storey brick buildings have been designed with a subtle curve to soften the corners, creating a strong yet elegant contrast to the gridded facade of the adjacent building Chesterfield House.

Internally the perfect square floorplan ensures each home has a premium threshold, with minimal circulation. The one- to three-bedroom high-quality homes will be complemented with a resident’s lounge, creative workspace, rooftop terraces, and a generous ground floor play area and community garden.

The site is situated at the crucial crossover between new developments in the town centre and those emerging in Wembley Park. The status of the project as a ‘link site’ between Wembley Central and Wembley Stadium means that once completed, the proposal will assist in re-defining the importance of Wembley’s town centre, acting as a catalyst for further investment and activity along the High Road.
