We advised on all aspects of Daylight & Sunlight to support the planning application for the Grand Exchange development in Bracknell

The redevelopment of Bracknell’s old bus depot site will provide 242 apartments and exclusive resident facilities with New York loft style collaborative co-working space as part of £770 million redevelopment of Bracknell centre.

The plans for the site were drawn up by the Building Design Group Ltd and comprise two distinct angular blocks up to 11 storeys tall.

Located in a commercial / retail area off Market Street, Bracknell, the former bus depot extends to 0.6 ha and sits adjacent to the local council office and Network Rail land (housing an electrical sub-station).

Daylight & Sunlight Grand Exchange

The site had a long history of various land uses and comprised areas of hardstanding, commercial unit and a vehicle garage with two above ground diesel tanks, fuel dispenser station and bus cleaning facility.

Our services included a Solar Glint & Glare Study to form part of Network Rail BAPA agreement and a study of the Light Within the new development to inform the design and maximise the available daylight.
