Daylight & Sunlight advice for the Thameside West site in east London.
The riverside development will play host to more than 5,000 new homes, multiple new retail spaces, a new school, a new nursery, spaces for creative industries as well as a new London parkland
We provided initial daylight and sunlight advice for the pre-app stage of this development. This is followed by a full assessment for the planning permission which included daylight and sunlight impact on neighbours and overshadowing analysis for in excess of 20 amenity areas and parks in the vicinity. This analysis was reported within an ES chapter for submission with the planning application.
Alongside the ES chapter, we also provided full light within analysis for both the detailed and outline blocks. This entailed undertaking daylight and sunlight analysis for the detailed blocks and façade mapping for the outline blocks. We also carried out a planning cutback for the impact on neighbours to help the architects understand which parts of the schemes were impacting neighbouring properties.
