Arundel Great Court

Party Wall Arundel Great Court

We advised on all Party Wall matters for the redevelopment of Arundel Great Court in London.

The Party Wall advice for the redevelopment of Arundel Great Court involved a sensitive site located on the Strand in central London, overlooking the river Thames and close to a number of important listed buildings including Grade I listed Somerset House and St Mary-le -Strand Church. The site also lies within strategic views of St Paul’s, including views seen from Westminster Bridge.

The site is currently occupied by a perimeter block which has few active frontages onto the surrounding streets, and private central courtyard. The masterplan for the redevelopment aims to create permeability within the block as well as introducing a new mix of uses, including a large office building as well as a 10-14 storey residential and hotel building as well as retail units.

The project involves the demolition of the existing building, including work to extensive basements. The new development will be 14 storeys high, and include 147 residential units, and a 113 room hotel.
