Anstey Horne have expanded their specialist Dilapidations team with the appointment of Theo Channer as a Director in Building Consultancy.
Theo is a Chartered Surveyor with a wealth of experience in commercial property, gained over the last 20 years for both investor and occupier clients.
Having started his early career at the Grosvenor Estate, he has worked at multi-disciplinary firm McBains Cooper, West End commercial property experts Nelson Bakewell, niche firm Collins McKay and most recently at J3 Partners.
Whilst having wide-ranging experience, Theo specialises in dilapidations instructions. He has had considerable success with occupier-side instructions. This has resulted in some excellent savings for notable UK retailers and PLCs, as well as assisting various organisations with their dilapidations liabilities and exit strategies.
On the other side of the coin, Theo has a wealth of experience acting for investors. In this role he has achieved some very successful landlord recoveries, particularly where landlord dilapidation works have also been undertaken. Where tenants undertake the dilaps works themselves, he has monitored many projects, enabling sign-off at expiry or break.
Theo lives with his wife in Hampshire. In his spare time he can be found taking part in various car & motorbike pursuits and triathlons while he still can!
Theo is a great addition to the Dilapidations team, with a proven track record and a wealth of experience in acting for both landlords and tenants. His appointment strengthens our position in this specialism, helping ensure clients old and new benefit from the very best knowledge and expertise.
