Marlborough Gardens, London, N20
A fire ripped through the roof of a pair of maisonettes and the subsequent attendance by the Fire Brigade caused water damage to both the first and ground floor flats.
To reduce time the works were separated into three stages
- Scaffold, make safe and weathertight
- Strip out works to allow drying and further assessment
- Design & Reinstatement works
We were appointed to act for the landlord and loss adjustor.
We carried out an initial assessment to ascertain the extent of damage and then arranged for emergency scaffold to make the property safe and weathertight
The primary issue was to dry out the property and after a short tender process the successful contractor stripped out the property back to the brick shell. Additional health and safety considerations were necessary due to Covid 19 and the carcinogenic materials within the property.
Our in house CAD team provided a point cloud scan and accurate technical drawings for the structural engineering and specification design.
The works were prioritised to accommodate the leaseholder’s and landlords’ requirements. Works are due for completion in November 2020.
