Congratulations to Sam Thompson MRICS Chartered Surveyor

Sam Thompson Associate Director

Congratulations to Sam Thompson, MRICS Chartered Surveyor in our Party Wall team who has just passed his APC and qualified as a RICS Chartered Surveyor.

Sam successfully achieved chartered status following the new specialist professional assessment route. The APC (Assessment of Professional Competence) consists of a written submission and a professional interview. Once the assessment is passed, the individual receives fully Chartered status.

Commenting on his achievement, Sam said :

‘Really pleased to be one of the first party wall surveyors through the new specialist professional assessment route to become a Chartered Building Surveyor.

Having started at Anstey Horne during lockdown, going through the APC whilst working remotely has presented its own challenges, so it was great that all the hard work from everyone who assisted me in my APC paid dividends.

Looking forward to continuing to advise our clients and owners, whilst also now representing the RICS.’

Anstey Horne advise both Building Owners and Adjoining Owners of their obligations and rights under the Act.

We can provide early advice by reviewing proposals and securing the necessary consents and Awards under the Act in a timely manner to allow a Building Owner’s work to proceed unhindered, or to protect the interest of an affected Adjoining Owner.

If you are planning work covered by the Act, or if you have received notice of work from a neighbour and want advice on how best to protect your property, please call our Enquiry line on 020 4534 3135 or contact:
